Community Pharmacy Hypertension advanced service off-site provision

For community pharmacies to comply with requirements to offer the hypertension advance service off site provision, the following documents need to be taken into consideration, completed and submitted.

• Advanced Service Specification – The changes to the service, come into effect on Thursday 3rd September 2026.
• Previous Service Spec
• The framework for approval
• The request for approval
• Scoring criteria that will be used (contractors can use this to benchmark whether they believe their application will make the threshold)

Request is sent to CEICB.Pharmacy@nhs.net at least four weeks before approval is needed, although in some cases this may be granted sooner.
