Pharmacy Contracts

The Committee has statutory authority ensuring inclusion in all consultations associated with the pharmacy contract applications locally.

The committee is concerned that it fulfils these responsibilities correctly. Members are required to declare interest, and not take part in proceedings where applications are commercially influential on their personal businesses.  All members receive full briefings in respect of applications. Opportunities for training in interpretation of the regulations are provided to Committee members on a regular basis.

The Committee is available to provide support and advice. If appropriate, the Committee will refer to  specialist profession advisors.
