Pharmacy First Patient Survey
Community Pharmacy England and Healthwatch England have launched an online Pharmacy First patient survey to collect feedback and improve the service. Pharmacy teams are encouraged to promote the survey, which takes about two minutes to complete, using provided resources like posters and flyers.
The survey is for patients who have used the Minor illness or Clinical pathways strands of the Pharmacy First servi
ce. It is not intended for those who used the Urgent supply of medicines/appliances strand. Gathering this feedback will help inform service improvements, support national evaluations, and reinforce the value of the service to public health authorities.
Pharmacy teams should ask patients to complete the survey at the end of their consultation. If the patient cannot complete it, their representative can do so. The survey will remain open until at least the end of 2025, and a national summary of results will be shared on our website.
Community Pharmacy England have produced the following resources to support pharmacy teams promoting the survey to patients:
- Poster
The poster highlights the survey and includes a short link or QR code for the patient to scan. It could be displayed or kept in the consultation room to show to patients at the end of a Pharmacy First consultation. - Small flyers
These can be handed out to patients if they do not want to complete the survey at the end of the consultation, so they have the details of how to complete the survey later.
