Optimising inhaler technique – improving outcomes–

CPPE are running a workshop for healthcare professionals who come into contact with people who are using inhalers should be able to check inhaler technique and provide advice to improve the use of inhaled medicines. This workshop will develop knowledge, skills and confidence to support patients to improve their outcomes and have an impact on the quality of life for people with COPD and asthma.

The workshop considers the different types of inhaler devices available and how the delivered dose is
made in each type, the breathing technique required for each type and the potential implications of suboptimal technique. The workshop is open to pharmacists, technicians and trainee pharmacists working in all sectors of pharmacy.
