Increasingly pharmacies are supplementing NHS contract income with a widening range of private clinical services. This will be an excellent learning opportunity whether you are thinking of introducing private services or developing and expanding your current offer.

• Define obesity and identify the genetic, environmental and biological factors contributing to its development.
• Describe the altered pathology that occurs as obesity progresses and the impact on health and wellbeing
• Explain the biological mechanisms involved in the homeostasis of body weight and how they hinder behavioural weight management interventions.
