When will updates to vaccine allocation available to pharmacies happen?

There are two ways that additional allocation can be made available to pharmacies. The first is through an increase made via the National team, based on the data received about the bookings that the pharmacy has and, in due course, the vaccination activity in the site. This update is dependent on data feeds so may occasionally be delayed if there is a problem with data flows, but in the main, should reflect on provider supply dashboards by approx. 10am daily. Uplifts will be made daily to pharmacies who trigger this through bookings/vaccine used, so it is possible that pharmacies may receive multiple increases to their available allocation within a week.

The second option is for a pharmacy to “request additional allocation” via FDP. The video here demonstrates how to do this, and although the video was created for COVID vaccine supply, exactly the same process will apply for requesting an increase in Bexsero vaccine allocation for the MenB programme. The National team aim to respond by COP to any request made before 3pm.

How will the vaccine supply model be managed/stabilised so that pharmacies have access to vaccine that they need to accommodate the bookings they are making?

The allocated vaccine available for the pharmacy to order from will be increased daily as described above. National have adjusted the parameters around this so that increases to the available vaccine for sites to order will be higher in volume and triggered by a lower number of bookings than was the case with the previous logic. This gives some additional “headroom” for sites to order stock to be used for walk in activity and for further bookings. A site with high levels of bookings made throughout the week will likely trigger uplifts more than once in the week, and can modify their orders up until their order deadline (8am, 2 days before their delivery date, as per the below table)

Will there be an end point if they’re not set up by a certain dates, on FDP for example? I know the deadline is 20 July for registration, but will there be a deadline for “go live” for example?
