Community Pharmacy Outreach in Chelmsford

Melbourne Pharmacy took part in an outreach event at the Parkside Community Hub on Tuesday, 26th May, alongside Support workers from Peabody, Hearing Help, Trust Links, and the Alzheimer’s Society, which provided expert resources on housing, mental health, and dementia care at a dedicated Community Support Day.

Throughout the event, Melbourne Pharmacy staff provided free, walk-in health checks and blood pressure screenings for eligible residents in Chelmsford, aiming to make routine cardiovascular monitoring more accessible without the need for a GP appointment.

In addition to the clinical checks, the pharmacy also used the platform to educate residents on the wider range of NHS and Private services available.

The spirit of community care extended outdoors as well, with volunteers coordinating a neighbourhood litter pick and tidy-up operation around the Melbourne shop parade.

The day concluded in the hub’s community garden, where residents, volunteers and healthcare providers gathered to discuss local initiatives.
