Optimising Infection management

Antimicrobial stewardship is a point of reference to be observed with the Pharmacy 1st service– pharmacy staff need to have reviewed their practice to help them assess patients presenting with suspected urinary tract infections (UTI) or upper respiratory tract infections (URTI) . Training on antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention and control is required, as well as updating action plans and encouraging staff to become antibiotic guardians.
This workshop supports both pharmacy professionals in community delivering the NHS the Pharmacy First service and those working in GP practices. It’s also a great opportunity to meet up with colleagues.
